Well, that time was yesterday!!
That's what I get for letting our laundry pile up on our bedroom floor.
Living in Texas I've had to deal a lot with bugs, especially since we live in a basement apartment with a little lake behind us.
So no matter how clean I keep our apartment every once in a while we find a cockroach in the house.
Now I am deathly afraid of big bugs.
Like, I feel like I'm going to die when I see one.
I don't know why I freak out so much but I literally cannot handle them.
Which is why I could never live here permanently.
4 months with these big bugs is enough for me.
I am more than happy to go back to Utah to have a freezing cold winter JUST because there are no big bugs!!
Now here's what happened to me yesterday..
I took a nap.
Got up to get ready to leave for the day.
I grabbed my pants from off the floor and put them on.
I though there was a wrapper or something jammed on the backside of my knee so I tried to pull it out from the bottom (they were jean capris) but I couldn't get it.
So I pulled my pants down only to find a HUGE COCKROACH jump out of my pants.
I screamed ripped my pants off and ran out of our room.
LUCKILY Curtis was home and was able to go get it.
I jumped onto our bed and was seriously hyperventilating, trying everything in my power not to throw up...
Worst. Day. Of. My. Life.
Just thinking of it now makes me cringe. AHHHH
SO last night I went on a crazy cleaning rampage and I never again will put my clothes on the floor..
Well, at least not until I get back to Utah... ha

oh my goodness. this is a fear of mine. i have lived in texas my whole and growing up we lived in a small town on the coast-really close to the water. no matter who many times my parents had our house sprayed we could not get rid of roaches. to this day, i will not go into a bathroom without turning on the light first. i am always on the lookout and we don't even really deal with them that often here in austin. but too many memories from growing up!
That's horrible!! I remember once Spencer and I were walking by the house and I felt like we went through a spider web. I took of my sweater and huge spider crawled out. I just about died!! I completely feel your pain.

I'm a native Texan and I will never ever get used to the roaches!!! So awful.
I totally have had this happen to me! (I live in Arkansas.) Now, I NEVER leave my pants on the floor. AHHHHH, just thinking about it--and this was years ago--gives me the heebie jeebies!
Poor thing! You're right, there IS something especially dreadful about roaches.
Well, that seems rather dire. Pests shouldn't be allowed to infest one's stuff in that way. When it gets to that point, no questions: fumigation or pest control.
