Dance Dance Dance

Today I went to the Dickens Festival at the Utah State Fairgrounds to see my cute little niece Reagan dance. It so was much fun to watch the whole show and Reagan did so awesome!!!

I am so proud of her!!

french toast, family, and santa.

Tonight we had a blast! We met up with some family and headed to kneaders for all you can eat french toast and a santa visit. Now, going into this, we knew Brooklynn wasn't going to sit on Santa's lap. I wasn't even going to try. I mean, we walked past Santa at the mall and she about lost her mind running the opposite direction. So when Santa made his grand entrance I was not surprised that she kept telling me she wanted to go home. 

We all ate our yummy french toast. Mrs. Claus had made her way around talk to people and we decided to get in line to see Santa. As we got closer I decided I would just talk to her about it. Tell her how she can ask Santa for a toy that she wanted. That really got her attention. We got to the front and she actually sat on his lap!! And told him what she wanted for Christmas!! We were completely SHOCKED!! It was amazing!! We snapped a few shots on my phone throughout the night because I totally didn't bring my camera because I was sure she wouldn't even get close to Santa. So we made due with what we had.

It turned out to be a fun filled night with yummy food, awesome family, and Brooklynn first good Santa experience!

 Yesterday evening Brooklynn and I packed our stuff and headed out to West Jordan to pick up my sister in law Courtney, then headed straight to the airport to pick up my mother in law.

Now let me tell you something awesome.. SHE IS HERE TO STAY! And soon my father in law will be here also! He is with Curtis right now driving all of their stuff from Georgia! 

We are BEYOND excited that they are moving here! 

So last night after we picked grandma up from the airport we grabbed dinner at Chili's and then had a little sleep over at Courtney's. We stayed up pretty late just talking and catching up. So happy that they are here to stay!!

Can I just say that I am so happy that it is December?? I seriously love Christmas time so much. And it is really the only time I love the cold Utah weather. It just makes sense at Christmas. It makes me happy. Things have been pretty low key around here. We've been spending our days at the park mostly. We also checked out this new outdoors store called Sheels and Brooklynn had a blast running around the store taking picture with all the animal statues. 

We also got our family photos taken.. Let me tell you something. Brooklynn is such a good kid! I'm telling you, 95% of the time she is sweet, and she shares, and she's loving, and so smart. BUT, when it comes to this kind of stuff she HATES it. She will not pose worth anything. It is always a constant struggle and that's exactly what it was. A struggle! But we made it through and thankfully Dana was so great to be so patient with her! I'll post more photos her when I get them back but there's one down there of my cute girl! 

Happy beginning of December, hope it doesn't go by too fast!
