Living in an Empty Home

This weekend my parents were kind enough to come out to Utah and help us pack up our house. We packed up the majority of the house while Curtis was out of town to surprise him! But even after that we still had a ton of work to do. So monday we had to move everything that we are not taking to St. Louis into a storage unit. So now we have no table, no pots and pans, no bed, no chairs, pretty much no anything. haha. We're living on an air mattress and fast food. I almost feel like we are camping! We don't leave for another week which seems so soon, but when you have nothing in your house it seems a lot longer. I'm really getting excited for our St. Louis adventure. It's going to be a long week. Which I guess is good because I have a lot of people to say goodbye to! I really am going to miss my friends here. I also am going to miss being close to California. I probably wont see my family until July. That's a long time! I guess they will just have to come visit us in St. Louis!

A friend of ours is just starting out taking photos so she asked is she could take some pictures of us. I have been wanting some photos for a long time so of course I said YES!! So, before sunday dinner at my grandma's we went into the back yard and she took some super cute photos.

For The Beauty of the Earth

Today my mother bought me the Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD "Consider the Lilies". For those of you who don't know, I LOVE choir music, which clearly means that I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir because they are one of the worlds most amazing choirs. I sang choir throughout my whole high school career. My senior year of high school I was in all 3 of our choirs. It took up half of my schedule. Well, on this CD that my mother bought me it has one of my favorite songs that we sang in high school. It is such a beautiful song and it makes me very happy. So I want you all to hear it. The video I found is kind of cheesy but the song is still so beautiful and MOTAB does an amazing job!!

Isla Beth Garlock

Today I went out to South Jordan to see my cousins little baby girl Isla Beth. She is absolutely precious. I cannot believe how tiny she was! Brooklynn was never that small. But holding her and Brooklynn made me realize how big Brooklynn really is! I had to take a picture holding both! Since Isla is swaddled she actually looks bigger than she really is but you get the picture!

Brooklynn is 5 months old and let me just tell you all something. She is the best baby in the whole wide world. I know every mom says this about their baby but I don't think you all understand. She literally is the best baby in the world. She is SUCH a good sleeper. She's been sleeping through the night since about 2 months! She takes her 2 regular naps at the same time every day. When she's awake she is all smiles and just wants to play. She lights up whenever I walk into the room. Every time we have to go on a long car trip she never even fusses. She just hangs out in her car seat so patiently. She buries her head into my shoulder as if she wants to be really close to me for just a second. She LOVES to eat. Hence the fact that she weighs 18 lbs! Basically, I love her more than words could say and I don't know what I did to deserve such a perfect baby. Curtis and I are SO blessed!!

For Time & All Eternity

Saturday I could say was one of the greatest days of my life! I was sealed to my family for time and all eternity!! Forever and ever! That is the best most comforting feeling. I love my family more than anything and to know that I will be with them for all eternity couldn't make me happier! I am so thankful for that our families could be there to share this very special day for us! Curtis' parents were able to come in from Georgia and spend a few days with us! I love them so much and I am so happy that they could be here! And baby B loves them too! 

My parents made the weekend so special and they always know how to bring everyone together! I love them so much! There were many others who came to make the day so special!

Family Beach Day

Since both of our families are in California we had a bon fire. It was a lot of fun. We had hot dogs, corn on the cob, chips, and you can't forget S'MORES!! Yum! There was lots of socializing going on. Baby B spent most of the time sitting on Grandma La La's lap relaxing and keeping warm. I love when all the family is around. It makes me really happy. I wish I had gotten more photos but my camera died. So here are the few that I got!

Books Books Books

I've decided that I really need to read more books. I watch way too much TV and really I just need to start reading. I go through phases where I'll read a lot but then I wont read for weeks. Not cool. So I'm going to challenge myself to read every day! I hope I can follow through! So, I leave you now with a video of Brooklynn laughing!

4 Month Stats

Brooklynn is a little older that 4 months but these are her stats.

Hight: 25.75 in

Weight: 18lbs 5oz

Head Circumference: 44.1 cm

She is in the 97th percentile for her weight! We have a little chunker on our hands! She is so cute I can't even handle it!! Here is a video of her in her excersaucer. There is a little bear on the pattern of the seat and every once in a while she gets a little bit obsessed with it and will stare at it! It is pretty much hilarious!

Cute Cousins :)

Every so often I head out to West Jordan to hang out with my sister-in-law Courtney and her cute kids! It's so much fun to see Brookie with her cute cousins! Yesterday, Curtis, Brooklynn and I headed out there to hang out for a bit. We put Jackson and Brooklynn on the floor next to each other and they loved it. Some how Brooke's hand ended up in Jackson's mouth. haha. We tried to get it on video but it didn't quite work out. I was able to snap a photo of it on my phone that's not the best quality. But here's a video of the two of them and the photo.

Another Baby Shower

Today was my friend Aly's baby shower. She is having a baby boy in 1 month! So exciting!! I was really excited to go today since I hadn't actually seen Aly in a couple years. I went with my friend Mallory who I also hadn't seen in a long time. It was really fun to catch up. We all met while going to the Business College. It was a great time! :)

First Time At The Park

Today was actually a pretty nice day. We don't get a lot of those in this town so we thought we would take advantage. We took Brooklynn to the park even though she's still a little young. We went on a little walk, then went down the slide, and sat in the swing. She seemed to like it, I know when she's older she is going to love that place. I know I do. haha. On another note: Brooklynn goes through faces of loving and hating her binkie. These days, she seems to LOVE it. So funny.
