Hello there, all!

My name is Nicole Cisneros, and you can find me over HERE!

I'm so excited to chit chat today with you for a few reasons, the first being that Jenna is my actual, real life, legitimate beyond all legitimate friend. We met in eighth grade, so that means we know a thing or two about each other.

Secondly, Jenna is the one who got me lured me into blog world. She would always ask me these questions like, 

"Hey, do you ever read my blog?" 

and me being my non-blog-savvy self at the time, would always answer, 

"Well, uh, I think I read it a few weeks ago......" 

even though I was being a bad friend and probably hadn't glanced at it in years. I know, mean. But one day I decided to take the plunge and make one for myself, and that proved to be quite the decision.

{Jenna is also the reason behind me opening my shop, because she's just that type of inspiring gal}

Now, girlfriend is on a cruise with her man, so I'm stepping in for today!

I want to talk about where blogging has taken me as of late, and where it can certainly take you as well.

{Trust me, it's been awesome}

As mentioned, I have a shop.

Now I opened this baby on September 12 of this year, so it's a relatively new venture I've taken, but let me tell you something, sister,

I had not one clue as to what the heck I was doing.

{And still kind of don't, to be honest}

So after my first sale {Alleluia!} I took an exhilarating trip to the ole' post office, only to spend more on shipping and packaging than I did on my actual sale.

Hmm.

Okay.......

And then I started looking around blog-world, and I realized that TONS of other women were having the same problems I was, and WHAT'S WORSE, they were putting on an I don't care about the money front, combined with a this is just a side thing for me, anyways poker face!

Okay, NO. 
I mean, I believed that it was a "side thing" for them, as many of us are stay-at-home-moms and the like, but to not take yourself seriously whatsoever?

I knew that's not the way these women really felt.
They were smart, educated beauts who were blatantly saying to the world that their business venture did not matter.
That is not okay.

So that got me thinkin', see??

I thought,

What if these women actually DO want to sell and make a profit, but just don't have the networking opportunities/advice/forum to rake in the correct information?

And that brought me to 

SMALL BUSINESS MONTH.

This is a place where people can network.

A place to find information for new new new new NEW small business owners.

{And by "small business owner," I mean "I sell my merchandise on Etsy" gals}

A place where experienced Etsy account owners share their words of wisdom.

And guess what?

So far, 

IT'S.WORKING.

People are actually supporting each other, advising one another and offering a helping hand.

I've seen comments, I've seen people following one another, I've seen deals being made.

I've seen networking from our twice a week Link Up Challenges.

AND.WE.ARE.ONLY.ONE.WEEK.IN.

So here's the deal.

If you are a small business owner and want to network, come on by and check it out.

If you are a small business owner and want to find a community, come on by and check it out.

If you are a small business owner who thinks their Etsy account does not qualify them as a small business owner, then you are sadly mistaken, and should come on by and check it out.

{Trust me, you will come into contact with some amazing women, and DEFINITELY will learn a thing or two}

Anyway, enough with my proclamations! I'm so glad to have had a chance to sit down and have a heart-to-heart with you all, and hope to talk to you soon!
