Our first stop on the cruise was at Half Moon Cay, Bahamas. This is actually a private island owned by the Carnival Cruise line. It pretty much was just an extension of the boat because everything was owned by Carnival. The beach was BEAUTIFUL. I have literally never seen anything like it. The sand was white and so incredibly soft. It was like walking on pillows! The water looked like a swimming pool it was so blue. It was my first time going in ocean water past my knees. Now, I grew up 10 minutes away from the beach but never went it because I'm so scared of Sharks. And in Orange County the water is dark and merky and freaks me out. But this water was so clear I felt like I was swimming in a pool. It was amazing.
We spent most of this day with our friends Kevin and Tialee who just got married a few weeks ago. They were on this cruise with their family and we happened to be on the same cruise! It was fun to spend time with them!
Towards the end of out time in Half Moon Cay it started to rain so we headed back to the boat about an hour earlier than planned but it was still such an awesome and beautiful day!
