Update..

STILL NO BABY! :(

I have a doctor appointment tomorrow so hopefully the doctor will have some type of good news for me! Like maybe she'll say: "Oh hey you're actually going into labor right now" haha okay wishful thinking but that would be AWESOME!

I don't know if you saw the Britney Spears episode of Glee but it was amazing. Heather Morris is such a good dancer and I'm jealous. It gave me huge motivation to start dancing again after the baby is born. Golds Gym has a hip hop class once a week and I am going to join it! That will make me so happy. I grew up dancing and it's been a long time since I've done it. It's going to be amazing. I am determined to get back into shape!

Curtis had his follow up appointment for his knee today. The doctor said his knee is looking really good! He doesn't have to wear that big knee brace anymore and he'll start physical therapy next week. He also now can take a shower instead of having to sponge himself off. I am thankful for that. haha!

Curtis and his surgery!

Just this past Wednesday Curtis had knee surgery. So we got up that morning and I had him at the hospital at 6:30am. I was finally able to see him in recovery 2 at about noon. He was all drugged out and the first thing he says as the nurse wheels him into the room is..

"Hey look! There's my baby mamma!"

I then knew I was about to meet a whole new Curtis. The nurse then asks me about the baby, what we're having and when she's due. Curtis immediately cuts in and says,

"We're naming her batman! She painted a B for the nursery and that stands for batman!"

I explained to the nurse that the B was for Brooklynn and NOT for batman. She then is moving Curtis from the wheel chair to the regular chair for him to sit in while he rested for a bit and so they could give me directions on how to take care of this crazy guy. 

She says: "I'm sorry if this hurts"

Curtis says: "You can't hurt me, I'm like wolverine!"

The nurse then asks me something I never wanted someone to assume about my husband:

"Is he really into comic books??"

I immediately start laughing and answer her "NO"

The rest of our stay at the hospital was comical but he eventually came to his senses which equaled him being in a lot of pain. So we rushed over to the 711 to get him a Dr. Pepper so he could take his pain killers. The nurse told him to start out eating light.. such as crackers and some water, but Curtis really wanted Arby's, and I just couldn't tell him no. 

BIG, BIG MISTAKE!

A few hours later we both had to pay for that mistake, but more so him than me.

Everything he had started to come back up. And not very nicely. I felt SO bad for him. Since he was on crutches he couldn't really bend over therefore throwing up pretty much ALL over the bathroom. It wasn't that much fun to clean up but the good thing was that he felt better after. He threw up a couple times that day. Luckily it was only that day he got sick.

So since then I have had the honor of taking care of him and I love it. Yeah I might be a little more tired than I like, but it's worth it. We just hang out at home together and I love this time we have since any time now we are going to have our daughter and things are going to get CRAZY! (not soon enough)

He's doing much better today, I still ice the knee 30 min on 30 min off every time we're home. Before we know it he'll be off those crutches! I love him very much and I'm happy that he finally got the knee surgery that he needed!

37 weeks!

Today I am 37 weeks pregnant! Do you know what that means? That means that I am considered full term. So whenever this little girlie wants to make her way into the world is fine with me cause she's ready! YAY!

Well, actually, she needs to stay in there for another week. Tomorrow, Curtis is getting long awaiting knee surgery. So as long as she doesn't come tomorrow we'll be alright. But I don't think she'll be here for a while. A week ago I was not dilated at all but I was 50% effaced. I was hoping that at my appointment today they would tell me I had made some more progress but no such luck. Everything is exactly the way it was last week. Which is comforting with my husband having surgery tomorrow but disappointing because I REALLY want her to get here already. Not that you all don't already know I feel that way since I talk about it ALL OF THE TIME. I apologize but it's just so dang exciting that she'll be here so soooon!

Today I got a prenatal massage which felt so amazing. My body is so sore and even though it's just temporary relief it was amazing! I think I might actually have a shot at sleeping somewhat well tonight. We shall see. 

Anyway, I am sitting here at the University of Utah library. It's weird being here since I don't go here anymore and I swear the way people are looking at me you'd think they'd never seen a pregnant person before. haha. Curtis is studying so I'm just along for the ride. I think I'm going to read.

Today was a good day..

To start of this blog post I must say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY AMAZING SISTER-IN-LAW COURTNEY!!

Today was her birthday and I had the honor of going to lunch with her and cute Reagan! It was so much fun! We went to Paradise Bakery and had some delicious food. I love talking to Courtney so much! It's really fun to have a family member almost as pregnant as I am. Cause no one understands what you're going through better than someone who is in the same shoes! I feel like we never run out of things to talk about and she makes me feel so comfortable. And it's always a joy to spend time with Reagan who is just SO excited to have a baby brother. She is going to be such a great big sister! So to Courtney, I hope you had the best day ever! You are a very special person and I'm so happy I know you! Love ya!

Then later today after a nice long nap, my friends, Kelsie and Miranda took me to get pedicures and dinner. It was so relaxing. For anyone who is pregnant I would advise you to go get a pedicure! They massage your feet which is the best feeling ever! AND then after your feet look cute! Nothing bad about that! 

So we got pedicures and Cafe Rio. I love these girls to death! They are so fun to talk to and they always make me feel good. Not to mention they gave me some pretty cute baby clothes that I LOVE! 

So over all it turned out to be a great day! 

Now.. if only baby Brooklynn would just get here already. ;)

The Last Month

So, I am in the last month of my pregnancy and let me tell you something, 

I AM SO READY TO BE DONE!

Don't get me wrong, being pregnant is a beautiful thing and it is truly an incredible experience. I cannot believe that this baby has been growing inside me for 8 months. But now, I am ready for her to made her debut into the world. I am in pain about 99% of the time, extremely swollen, and exhausted to say the least.  I tell myself every day that it is a small price to pay for the amazing gift I am getting in return: my daughter. But can't she just get here already?! I am ready!! I just want to hold her in my arms, and not to mention be able to lay on my stomach! :)

I went to the doctor last tuesday she said that I'm not dilated at all but I am 50% effaced. So my body has started the process.. now let's just speed it up! I go again on tuesday so hopefully by then I'll have made more progress.. I don't think my body will last until October 12. 

So anyway, I'm ready baby Brooklynn, so hurry up and get here!

Slacking..

I know I have been slacking a little on the whole blogging thing but I have just been so tired lately. Tomorrow I'll be 36 weeks pregnant! I can't believe I only have about 4 weeks left until this sweet little baby girl with be in my arms! I cannot wait! But the closer I get to her getting here the more tired and uncomfortable I get. 

BUT last night we did something fun. We went over to the McConnells and had dinner and played Settlers. The Barney's came too and brought their cute little 3 month old boy Gavin. It was nice to hold a little baby to hold me over for a little. He even spit up on me a little bit and I didn't even care. I'm THAT excited to have a baby. haha

Today we went to the dollar theater and saw Charlie St. Cloud! SO GOOD. Even though I've already seen it I'm not going to lie it's SO GOOD probably because Zac Efron is so attractive! Not as attractive as my hot husband but look at this guy..

who wouldn't want to look at that for 2 hours? haha

Well, that's a little update about what's been going on lately.

Can't Sleep..

I hate when I can't sleep. 

But, the more pregnant I get the harder it is to get into a comfortable position to sleep in. 

So, I figured I would take this time to say happy birthday to my mother-in-law.

I am so blessed to have married into such an amazing family!

I love that I can call Cynthia and feel 100% comfortable talking to her on the phone.

That makes me really happy!

So, happy birthday, Cynthia! You truly are amazing!

A Little Trip To Provo

Today Curtis went down to Price, Utah to do some work so I had the whole day. I needed to get out of the house. So I decided to head on down to Provo to visit some friends. First I hung out with my friend Kourtney who is actually just up here visiting for a while. We walked around the mall and I made her go into every baby clothing store because I'm a little bit obsessed. Then we met up with our other friend Kimmy for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. YUM! I love food so much! Especially at CPK!

Then I went over to my friend Kristens house who is due in 9 DAYS!!! 9 days... man, I wish I was due in 9 days! But, I still have 5 weeks! So long! She showed me her cute baby room. Then we met up with Kaitlin for some dinner at Cafe Rio. Then of course a little photo shoot! It's nice not being the only pregnant one!

After that I went over and checked out Kaitlins new apartment. 

All in all, it was a good long day. Now, I'm waiting for Curtis to get home. I've missed him today!

I tired to be creative..

... and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I wanted to make something cute for Brooklynn's room and this is what I came up with. 

I don't know if I will actually put it in her room but hey, I tried!

More Funny Videos!

I figured since I posted one embarrassing video of Kaitlin and me, why not add two more funny videos. The first one is a video that took us about 30 times to finally get it right. It's one of the very few serious scenes from High School Musical. We decided we just had to recreate it. And after 30 tries we got the words right.. Man, we are such great actresses. haha

This next video is just ridiculous. One song that truly makes Kaitlin and me happy is Nobody's Perfect by Hannah Montana (aka Miley Cyrus). So that same night we decided to record ourselves dancing crazy to this song.. yeah we're nuts. Enjoy! :)

Good Times

So I have this friend, and her name is Kaitlin. We have pretty much been best friends since we were 8. Some times we are closer than others but she will always be my best friend. Even when I don't see her for months, when I do it's like no time has passed! From our junior year of high school to our sophomore year of college we were pretty much insepreable. We loved to make crazy videos and we have a ton of them! This one I haven't watched in forever so I thought I would post it. It's a dance our ASB did at ASB camp our senior year of high school. So one night about 3 years ago we decided to recreate it! Yeah we're weird but boy did we have fun! Enjoy!

Guilty Pleasure

This is a TV show on the Disney Channel based on the Jonas Brothers. I never really liked the Jonas Brothers so I assumed I wouldn't like the show. Well, I have a lot of extra time so I started to watch it. Turned out.. I LOVE IT! I don't know if anyone watches this show or not but it's so cute and I even find it funny. And I just want Stella and Joe to get together already!
