Lately...

Curtis and I have our new apartment now and he has started school back up at the University of Utah.  We are slowly but surely getting our apartment put together. As soon as it’s all done I promise I will post pictures. I really like it a lot. It is SO MUCH better than where we were living before. It’s two stories so it gives it more of a home feel rather than an apartment feel. It’s the perfect place for us to start our little family. This is the first place that we have lived alone since we got married so it makes setting up our apartment so much more fun. We have our wedding pictures up and everything.

We’ve got all our grocery shopping done. Our cupboards and fridge are full. I love cooking dinner with Curtis even when we don’t end up making dinner until 1030pm like tonight. Our kitchen is really cute thanks to my mom. She got us a lot of matching things for our kitchen including a big jar full of snickers for Curtis. And boy was he happy about that. The theme of our kitchen is green. That’s also the theme of our room. Which made the theme of Brooklynn’s room pink and green. Everything is matching and making it feel more like home.

Curtis is in the process of evicting a tenant from the house. The kid has not paid his rent for 2 months and feels he still deserves to live in the house. Curtis gave him the option to leave without having to pay or have any penalties at all but he still refuses to leave, which leaves Curtis with no other option that to legally evict him. It’s a long and annoying process but it will eventually lead to a cop coming to the house and physically kicking him out of the house and basically destroying his credit because he clearly cannot pay. Curtis told him that this was going to happen but he thinks that Curtis is just trying to scare him out of the house. It’s sad that he wouldn’t take Curtis’ offer for him just to leave and not pay. I feel like that’s a pretty good deal. But he chose to stay so oh well. We finally have some good people moving into the house, which makes Curtis and I feel much better knowing that the house will be in good hands while we are not there. But it is nice that we only live a few blocks away and can check up on the place whenever we want.

Hmm.. that’s all for now I suppose.
