7 day juice detox, body reboot.

Okay friends, I'm about to do something crazy.
Are you ready for this??
Okay here I go..

For the next 7 days Curtis and I are only drinking juice. Juice that we ourselves have made. No food. Just juice. Crazy right? Well, not so much.

Today we watched a documentary called "Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead." It's Pretty much the opposite of "Supersize Me". This guy drinks only juice for 60 days and lost over 200 lbs. On top of that he had a auto-immune disorder that he had to take medication for. After doing this, he no longer needed the medicine! It was pretty amazing, and we were inspired.

We are definitely not going to only drink juice for 60 days because that's crazy. And neither of us weigh over 400 lbs.

There was another lady that was having a problem with really bad migraines. Like to the point of throwing up. She did it for 10 days, then after that just had one juice a day and her head ache were completely under control. I know it sounds crazy but I am a believer.

Now, when I say juice I'm not talking about the juice you just go and buy at the store. I'm talking about home made, in a juicer, with whole fruits and veggies. The real deal. We bought ourselves an awesome juicer and made up our first drink tonight.
  Guess what?

It was delicious!

We are so excited to try different fruits and veggies together! We are starting off with 7 days. I may go longer. They say the first few days are really hard and that I might feel like punching someone... (let's hope that doesn't happen). Then you start to feel good. Then you are actually very energized. I'm excited for the detox part. It will help get rid of all the nasty stuff in my body! It's a body reboot!

Speaking of nasty stuff in my body.. this means, NO DIET COKE AT ALL. I've been very good at cutting back but I've still been having one or two a day. As of last night I had my last diet coke. No more. That would defeat the purpose of the detox.

I'm very excited to do this even though I know it's going to be very hard. Our fridge is full of fruits and veggies and I love it!
I'll post an update in my weight loss journey tab with how I'm feeling each day with my juicer recipes for the day!

Wish us luck!

I'm interested. It scares me to death, but I'm interested. Are you following recipes or just juicing whatever sounds good/right?

Very inspiring...I would LOVE to be able to get all of my energy from natural fruits and juices but for now COFFEE will have to do the trick! I can't wait to follow along and see how it turns out-good luck :)

after 2 and a half days we've added small healthy foods. my head ache was too much to handle and we almost killed each other.. not literally but it was rough. but we are drinking juice still consistently throughout he whole day. so good.

I have wanted to do something like this a few times, but it really is so hard. It really feels terrible and is hard to do an intense detox. I was able to do a month long, much less intense detox a couple years ago. Even though the quick and dramatic one sounds really appealing, I've read over and over that a more gradual approach can be better for the body because it isn't such a shock.

On day 23 of my juice cleanse. Going to go between 30-40 days. Glad I found your blog to read what others have to say.

I'm extremely impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your blog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it's rare to see a great blog like this one these days.
